This project involved choosing an article, A Training Ground for Untrained Artists, and designing a poster for a lecture by the author, Nathaniel Rich, that uses a visual metaphor as its image.
I used papercraft to illustrate the stark contrast between the pretentiousness and rigidity the author says can sometimes be associated with the traditional (abled) fine art world to the freer, more non-conforming style seen in the artwork of developmentally disabled artists.
