Exhibition graphics: German Art After 1960

Process

Several artworks themselves were also made out of metal or metal-like materials, which further informed my instinct to proceed in this direction. Working with Automatic Arts, we looked at a couple of different finishing options and selected the patina for its weathered, time-worn look, which appropriately conveyed the seriousness and history behind the works in this collection. Further, we had the letters mounted a few inches from the wall to give the title even more weight with a shadowy contrast against the surrounding wall color.
